You will be an intricate part of the store’s management team; selling, mentoring and leading by example. A bit about the company
The Waters story began in 1894, with GE Waters offering “a little bit of everything” to the small town of Manchester in NW corner of Dickinson Co. Kansas then relocating his business to nearby Junction City in 1905. It was there that his grandson and great-grandson, Bob and Jim Waters, oversaw the largest expansion of the company, as well as its partnership with the True Value Company.
Today, Waters operates one of the largest and most respected groups of True Value stores in the country. With over 120 years in the hardware industry, six generations of Waters leadership, and over 200 dedicated team members serving 7 communities in Kansas, Waters True Value strives everyday to continue the original vision of GE Waters by providing quality products and great service.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assistance to the store manager
- Supervise the sales floor to ensure teammates are performing their assigned tasks
- Make necessary decisions to see store is operating within it’s budget
- Support your teammates in reaching your store’s goals.
Requirements:
Retail Sales experience strongly preferred
Great customer service skills
Ability to communicate with others in a manner that ensures clear and mutual understanding of information
