GREAT BEND – Earl N. Adams, Jr., 77, passed away at his home in Great Bend. He was born August 30, 1941 to Earl N. and Mildred (Thomason) Adams. He married Careen Casey on October 31, 1983 in Alva, OK. She survives.
Earl was a truck driver and a member of The Men’s Motorcycle Club for 35 years. He loved riding bikes and horses. He was a licensed farrier. He was a great father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.
Survivors include; his wife Careen of the home; three sons, Johnnie Mitchell and wife Kristy of Kermit, TX, Darrell Adams and wife Wanda of Strasburg, CO and Jeremey Patterson of Great Bend; six daughters, Terry DeClue of Lander, WY, Tracy Vigil of Colorado Springs, CO, Brenda Buchanan and husband Chuck of Powell, MO, Nona Adams of Rogers, AR, Kourtney Adams of Great Bend and Starla Patterson and wife Andrea Addington of Wichita; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Johnny Adams of Susank and Freddie Ross and wife Joann of Pawnee Rock; and a sister, Nadine Erskin and husband Joe of Garden City. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Ronnie Kultgen Adams and Earl N. Adams, III; and a brother, Delbert Adams, Sr.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2019 at Bryant Funeral Home, with family present. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Bryant Funeral Home, with Rev. Dick Ogle presiding. Inurnment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery North. Memorials are suggested to the Earl Adams, Jr. Funeral Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
